His excellent leadership qualities has enabled Orbit Group to grow at an immense pace along with building strong client relationships. He overlooks the business activities of Orbit Financial Capital and mentors the team in new business initiatives and business planning.

Ashish focuses on the firm’s investment banking activities in Pharma, Fine & Specialty Chemicals space. He brings Strategic Management Expertise to OFC. He has been in senior leadership positions and has served as Director of Orbit Group. He is currently instrumental in developing OFC’s New Markets Entry Strategy.

He leads the transactions in the areas of M&A, Transaction Advisory, Private equity deals and Debt syndication. Previously, he worked with L&T Financial Services and has played a significant role in strategically developing the real estate segment. Smit holds a degree in Master of Business Administration from K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management and Research and Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Mumbai University.

Mr. Darshan Desai, a qualified chartered accountant, is Senior Advisor at Orbit Financial Capital. Holds 45 years of rich international financial advisory and transactional experience across continents and sectors. Blending professional expertise and strategic insights, he has over the decades, steered many multi-billion dollar deals across private equity, M&A, structured credit and strategic alliances. Known for the ability to grasp the big picture and deliver measurable outcomes in deals, structuring and negotiations, Darshan is a key pivot of the Orbit team.
